Today E&R saw an interesting sight. A hawk flew up from the ground with a three foot black snake squirming in its claws. Latter they saw a number of wild turkeys. We also saw turkeys.
Today we finished three weeks since we left home April 12, three good weeks. Tonight we watched section two of slavery in America. This is a wonderful DVD.

Thursday 3. Early this morning it began raining. It was decided that after getting up late and a leisurely breakfast that they would not pedal today.
When we went to leave about ten, Ed could not get the MH out of Park. After studying the instruction booklet we discovered we should insert a pen into the drive position to mechanically enable the shift. So we took off but found out that each time it was put in Park it locked again. Ed called the Mechanic in New Holland who asked us to check if we had break lights. It didn’t. So we checked the fuses and found and found the brake fuse burned out. When it was replaced everything worked and off we went about eleven.
We arrived at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati. In the parking lot we had sandwiches before we going in.
It is a very thorough telling of the sad story. This place was only finished in 2004, so it is quite a new building with contents. There are several videos. However, after having done so much reading much seemed redundant. Thank the Lord for books and the gift of reading.
We left about 3:30 and stopped at the Harriet Beacher Stowe house and took pictures. At 4:30 we had dinner together at an Outback Steak House – Miriam had a break. We arrived at the Oak Creek Camp ground in Walton, KY where we have excellent WiFi.
